the collecting field of miniatures and illuminated single leaves.
With 70 entries this catalogue submits the largest, most varied and
finest selection of manuscript paintings currently available in the
international trade. The Italian heritage of manuscript illumination
is richly represented, opening with a group of leaves from early 12th
century Italian Giant Bibles and closing with splendid specimens of
Italian late Renaissance manuscript illumination. Besides the catalogue
includes a larger group of French manuscript paintings, as well as
works from Spain, Portugal, Flanders, England, Austria, Bohemia, Swabia
