	Our collecting activities are documented in regular intervals in our series of major cloth-bound catalogues. The manuscripts, miniatures and early printed books presented in these publications are expertly researched and described by scholars academically recognised in their field. Each catalogue entry is complemented by numerous full-page colour plates. The catalogues are equipped with several indices and reference keys.

The Italian heritage of manuscript illumination is richly represented, opening with a group of leaves from early 12th century Italian Giant Bibles and closing with splendid specimens of Italian late Renaissance manuscript illumination. Besides the catalogue includes a larger group of French manuscript paintings, as well as works from Spain, Portugal, Flanders, England, Austria, Bohemia, Swabia and the Rhineland.
