Eight Centuries of Manuscript Illumination

This brochure features 45 highlighted pieces from our 2004 inventory, such as a Missal for the use of Rome, illuminated by Matteo da Milano, one of the most important Italian illuminators of the beginning of the Cinquecento. It also includes the Schönrainer Liederhandschrift, which was, at the time of publication, one of the last Minnesang manuscripts available for acquisition.
