The acquisition of the manuscript portion of the famous Alana Collection in 2023 allowed Dr. Jörn Günther to assemble this extraordinary selection of manuscripts and miniatures.

In this publication we present a selection of masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance: 19 manuscripts and 43 miniatures produced for illustrious patrons by the most talented artists of their time. Spanning 300 years, from the thirteenth to the sixteenth century, this catalogue includes the best examples of Italian Renaissance book art available on the market.
